Floral Friday Sending You a Hug
Last summer I had two big spine surgeries. So before I went into surgery #2 I started stamping everything that could keep my attention. I thought that It would give me something to color while in recovery and then give me some backgrounds to pair up with the images.
This background is one of them. I used a lighter pink ink with a simple Stampin Up background stamp onto white cardstock.
The die cut is by Couture Creations. The cardstock is a glimmering pink cardstock from a holiday pack by Sizzix. I stamped a Stampendous sentiment onto white cardstock with a grey color ink. Then I took my Creative Memories square punch and made the sentiment look good before adhering it to the center of the die cut.
Thanks for looking.

April Calendar Layout Brian and bowling.
Confession, I totally cut myself out of the picture. My face was spread out because of the way that I was standing and leaning forward onto my bag. You can see me. My arm is in a blue shirt on the right side. Anyway, the bowling patterned paper is by Karen Foster. The other patterned paper is Harley Davidson paper made by EK Success. I liked the flames in the paper because they matched the blue bowling shirts. The title is a sticker by Stickibilities. The side border is made up of bowling ball stickers by Scrappin Sports and More, SMR Stickers, and someone else. I’ll have to look into it. Thanks for looking and listening.
My husband took the picture of my brother because he is drinking coffee out of an Old Kent Bank cup at a bowling alley around the corner from the house we grew up My Mom worked for OKB for 30+years.
It hasn’t been called OKB in over 20 years. So for them to have the coffee cup with the bank’s logo on it was enough for my husband to take a picture of my brother with the cup he stole from the bowling alley for sentimental reasons. LOL.

April Calendar Layout Sunflowers and Audrey
The green patterned paper is by Sunborn. The green cardstock is the other side of that patterned paper. The woodgrain patterned paper is by Pebbles.
The sunflower stamp is by Stampin Up. I added gold and bronze Perfect Pearls to the flower and fussy cut it out. I stamped the leaf in a green ink by SU.
For the blue sky, I used distress ink as the base and then added some translucent paint mixed with a powdered chalk which is like Perfect Pearls.
I imagined the patterned paper look like tall green leaves and the woodgrain look like the steps.
Thanks for looking.

Cynthia’s BIG Teal N Pink Birthday Card
This is a big card. I took a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of white cardstock and folded it in half. Then I started my layering. First, a piece of bright pink cardstock. Then a striped piece of vintage wrapping paper. Followed by a blue patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket.
To finish up, I found the blue scallop square in butterfly in my stash. I added a “happy” die cut by Lawn Fawn and the “birthday” die cut by Clearly Besotted.
The lady I made this card for has macular degenerative disease. Her daughter requested cards to be large and have larger fonts.
Thanks for looking.

Life’s a Beach Stampendous Shell Stamp card
Hi-de-ho! My card has no patterned paper. I made them all by myself.starting with the sunshine that I made with the edge of a distress ink pad on white paper. Then I adhered that piece to a piece of cream cardstock. Finally, I ripped the right side of those two papers.
I made the bottom paper look like sand with distress ink and a sponge dobber. I tore the right side and of that paper and then adhered it under the white cardstock. I stamped the shell and sentiment from Stampendous on white cardstock. You can see the starfish’s leg went off onto the cream cardstock. I stamped the sentiment underneath. It is also by Stampendous.
The card base is peach cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my card.

Manly Monday Turtle Card
This card started with this cute turtle die cut that was a gift from a seller on Mercari. I made the background with distress ink and a piece of paper as a mask. The green frame was a negative to a rectangle. The paper is by Color Aid. The picture shows what a mess it is underneath. I had to die cut some waves to put on top of the green frame.
The dark blue waves are the negative K and Co paper which you can see in the picture on the right. It’s a beach/travel scallop shaped paper and I’ve used the side where you tear the paper off of the pad as waves. Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of your week.

I cut the gloves and scarf out with my Cricut many years ago. I will try to link back to the layout in which they came from. The die cuts are wrapped around the super old frame die cut by Provo Craft. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. Thanks for looking.

Floral Fridy Spanner Christmas card
So the border on the bottom is made up of a horizontal strip of Sizzix opulent paper. Layered on top of it is a border from an old paper pack by Die Cuts with a View. The doily in the center is by Stampin Up. It’s hard to see but I adhered tiny red flowers behind the green flower that form a wreath on top of the doily. All flowers are by Prima.

Floral Friday Pink Flowers Destash Card
When I started placing the flowers on the card I didn’t know where I was going with it. I just went for it and glued them down and added Stickles to the center. That wasn’t the best decision. I should have made the pattern then glued the flowers down. I thought:
Oh well, I liked the top better than the bottom.
It was the bottom and so I was OK with it.
The top is cleaner than the bottom.
Nobody will see the bottom. Ya right!
I found the tiny plate with letter die cuts and cut out “Thirty 1993” for my Niece’s 30th birthday. I adhered the letters around a rhinestone cluster that I found in my stash.
I had to cut off the edges of the front panel to fit on my card base. It wasn’t until then that I realized…I glued the letters on upside down.
I was crushed. I tried to take the letters off. Nope. Removing the letters was destroying the flowers, which I only had 2-3 flowers left.
Looking at it now, it’s no big deal. You can hardly tell or see what I’m talking about. But...You see this flower front panel had been sitting on my desk for weeks. I looked at it all of time. I was working to figure out the best way to finish it. I couldn't get just any sentiment to look "right".
So when I found the alphabet plate I knew just what to do with it. I was excited to use it for the special occasion. But then to have so much into it to trip at the finish line...irritating.
I have to remind myself that,
It’s handmade. Not Ha11m@rk.
